1. Move cursor to the start of the text that has to be selected.

   

2. Click and hold the left mouse button.
3. Drag the mouse to select the text.

   

4. Release the left mouse button when the selected text has been highlighted.
5. On the menu at the top, click Edit.
6. In the dropdown box, click on Copy.

   

7. To paste previously selected text, click on Paste in the dropdown box.

Each of the actions above, has a corresponding keyboard shortcut.

To select all the text in the window, hit ctrl-A.

To copy the selected text to the clipboard, hit ctrl-C.

To paste previously selected text, hit ctrl-V.
